This is the last of the four Spring Festivals. On this day, the Jews would begin by making two leavened loaves of bread and offering it to God to be accepted. The two (sinful) loaves represent the sinful Jews and gentiles being offered grace by God. On the day of Pentescost after Christ’s death, the baptism of the Holy Spirit was offered to all people who would look to God for acceptance.
