As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday, this teaching shows us what a relationship with God looked like before Christ died and redeemed us. The Ark of the Covenant provided a way to for God to live among His people while protecting them from God’s judgment. The problem with the Ark was the deathly fear of their sin entering into its presence. The Good News is that since Christ died for us, we can live for Him and no longer have to fear God’s presence.
