The Day of Atonement

The sixth festival of the year is the most important one of all. The Day of Atonement was the day the Israelites would see if God would accept them for another year by making atonement for their sins. This was so important because they relied on the Lord for security, food, water, and shelter. This festival was and continues to be fulfilled by the permanent sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
