In addition to our Sunday Morning Worship services, we offer many other ways to minister to our community. With several classrooms and a gymnasium inside our 38,000 square foot former school building, there’s something for everyone to be involved in. Select a ministry below to see more.

Truth Resale Store

Thrifting has become an art form around here, and the Truth Resale Store is a big reason for it. Our store is by far the least expensive around (all clothing items range from 50 cents down to free!). Here you’ll find furniture, small household appliances, dishes, ornaments, clothes, toys, and so much more. We only sell clean, quality items at an affordable price. By doing this, we have been able to help so many people in need. Not to mention the many people in our community who just love to shop and find great deals. Since we are a non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible. If you would like to donate items for the store, then please drop them off during store hours.

Store Hours
Mondays: 10am - 4pm
Wednesdays: 10am - 5pm
1st Saturday of the month: 10am - 1pm

Truth Food Pantry

One of the ways we’re proud to serve our community is through our Truth Food Pantry. We supplement hundreds of people each month with food. The vast majority of the people we help feed are elderly, disabled, and hard-working families who can’t make ends meet. Younger people who have no job are asked to do one hour of help before receiving food. Tax deductible food donations are welcome!

Food Pantry Hours
Monday & Wednesday from 11:30am – 1:00pm.
For food emergencies, call Lois at (419) 341-7209.

Wednesday Night Community Meal

Every Wednesday night, we serve a free meal to anyone who wants to come and join us. Food is served from 5:45pm until 6:30pm. After dinner (not mandatory), we have 3 classes that last one hour for people of all ages to grow in their faith. For the younger children, we have the GROW program where they will learn lessons, play games, and make crafts in the Sunday School rooms. For the Middle and High School students, there is youth group either in the gym or the youth center. Finally, the adults stay in the community room after dinner and have adult Bible study. This is usually a topical study where everyone has an opportunity to discuss their experiences and ask questions. If you already have dinner plans on Wednesdays, then feel free to bring the family out at 6:30 for the mid-week study classes.

Open Gym

Every Sunday from 5pm until 8pm, we open our gym doors to anyone who wants to play basketball. All teens and older are welcome. In the past, we have had volleyball leagues, soccer, and dodgeball games. We usually will try to accommodate anything fun and exciting if there is a demand for it.

Holiday Parties & Movie Nights

We have several parties throughout the year filled with exciting games and prizes. These would include Harvest parties, Easter egg hunts, and many more. We have also hosted movie nights on our huge projection screen with movies such as God’s Not Dead, Passion of the Christ, and Courageous.

Other ministries that are utilized at Truth are:

Community Service Programs

Sometimes people have had to get community service hours done either through the schools, or through Job and Family Services, or even through the courts. Many times these people have done these hours in our building. This has given us a great opportunity to get to know them personally and share the Gospel with them.

• Ladies hold a Zumba class every Monday at 5:15pm that lasts 45 minutes

•  We also have an exercise room with cardio and strength training machines.

•  At Truth, we try to encourage good stewardship of our health.

In addition, we’ve hosted free parenting classes, Girl Scouts classes, AA and other addiction meetings, Toy drives for less fortunate children, discipleship classes, SWAT Team training, free Biblical counseling, the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, and so much more.

In short, Truth ministries has been a “shopping mall” of ministries in which to serve our community.
